The Rsenal race Team was started in 2009. Rsenal started with various racers and skill sets, from a pro desert and hair scramble rider to a pro road racer/flat tracker, and a motocross rider. We also gathered talent with experienced mechanics, pit crew personnel and logistics management. We added support personnel for driving and managing the racing schedule as well as the other aspects like computer management, GPS tracking and pre runners. There was allot of ideas, energy and allot to learn. Each racer had been on teams before in various racing events but not to this level and commitment. As a first year team and in placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall for the season championship offroad desert racing series in Colorado, we were off to a strong start.
Our main goal in 2009 was to participate in the Baja 1000 in November, in Baja Mexico. We trained as a team and as individuals to be ready for this world wide event. Rsenal competed with 15 countries and hundreds of riders for a podium finish or to just finish the race. The team was able to pull off a 6th place position and place in points for the season. Not many even finish this event, with 49% of the entrees dropping out due to injury or equipment failure.
Since Rsenal Racing started in 2009 we have raced the Baja 1000, the San Felipe 250, and the Baja 500 every year since 2009. With rider and team personnel residing from Michigan to Idaho, Utah, Texas and California, Rsenal has gathered a name in Off road racing. We have placed 1st and 2nd in overall SCORE International Baja Points Championships over the last few years as well as individual podium finishes in the SCORE series.
For 2010, Rsenal has seen a growth spurt in the team. At this point the team consists of 20 support personnel and 5 main racers and 2 back up pre-runners. The team has offered racer assistance and support to various other off road teams and gained more momentum and podium finishes in 2010.
Rsenal also raced the “Best in the Desert” Vegas to Reno race for the first time in 2011. Rsenal entered “BITD” with two bike teams, and had an impressive finish having both teams on the podium.
In 2012 Rsenal Racing started the “Mile High Desert Racing Series” and held 6 desert races in Agate, Colorado. We were interested in starting a desert series in Colorado but to also recruit racers and support personnel to the Rsenal Racing family residing Colorado. Also participating in all three 250, 500 and the 1000 SCORE INTENATIONAL events racing under the Husqvarna colors we strived to bring back the old colors in Baja desert racing and finished with a respectable 5th overall in class.
2013 will bring Rsenal Racing another step higher in the desert racing community. It will be year two of the “MILE HIGH DESERT RACING SERIES” and plans are underway to enter three teams in the “BEST OF THE DESERT” Vegas to Reno race consisting of two pro bike classes and one UTV class.
